The Living Room at YouLiberated

Companionship with intention in a private, high-trust space.

You hold a lot. For your work, your loved ones, your clients, your community.

Even the most capable, insightful people need somewhere they can speak freely, think things through and feel less alone.

Not to be fixed or coached, but to be heard as you are.

The Living Room is built around calm, grounded presence, whatever brings you here.

It’s intentional companionship where the conversation belongs to you. There’s no pressure or hierarchy, just room to land and breathe.

Being Heard Brings Freedom

Most of us have people and places we turn to for connection and support. The thing is, even within those relationships, it’s human nature to edit or filter what we say: sometimes the timing doesn’t seem right, or we don’t want to burden someone who already seems to have a lot on their plate.

What’s left unsaid doesn’t simply disappear; it stays with us: be they concerns we brush aside as trivial, thoughts that are difficult to untangle on our own, or things we cannot fully make sense of until we give them a voice.

The Living Room is private conversation away from day-to-day relationships. There’s no need to edit yourself, consider anyone else’s capacity or even arrive with a clear agenda. It’s a place to voice what has been left unspoken, work through what is on your mind and receive feedback when you want it.

Saying things out loud releases pressure, brings clarity and often reveals what comes next. That’s liberating.

You might be:

Running a business or carrying responsibilities that leave little room to pause, let alone offload.

Travelling often or working remotely, missing that regular connection and conversations with more depth.

Adjusting to a new phase of life: recently retired, an empty nester, recovering from illness, or starting over.

Supporting others all day long as a coach, holistic practitioner or wellness professional, while rarely having the same space for yourself.

Why The Living Room?

Hi, I'm Hannah MacKinnon, Founder of YouLiberated.

I’m neither a therapist nor a coach.

I’ve always been a listener.

Since childhood, I’ve loved hearing people’s stories. From regular visits with elderly neighbours to long, open-ended conversations while hitchhiking across the UK and Europe as a teenager. The dreams people hold, the concerns they carry, and the things that might otherwise get left unspoken without a place to voice them.

Years later, while providing behind-the-scenes business support to a best-selling author and coach, I was invited to join her coaching team. What mattered to her was the way I listened, responded and supported her clients and followers. Through that, I worked with clients on both business and personal goals, bringing accountability, encouragement and a steadiness they valued.

Then in 2020, while living in Guatemala, I began having regular video calls with family members in the UK. It quickly became clear why those calls mattered so much. It wasn’t just about staying in touch: it was about being present through the challenges and uncertainty, and having regular opportunities to talk openly, be heard and stay connected.

That was when I began to see how all of these experiences connected.

The Living Room grew out of all of that. Years of listening, caring, and showing up. And the understanding that consistent, intentional presence can make a real difference. The kind of presence that means you’re not carrying everything alone.

It isn’t always major responsibilities that weigh on us. Sometimes it’s lingering concerns, questions you keep returning to, or the dreams you’ve kept to yourself. Whatever you’re holding, here you don’t have to carry it alone.

"Hannah’s The Living Room appeared at the perfect moment in my life. Her ability to really listen and relay back to me with clarity what I’m saying helps me work through problems and find solutions.

Hannah is gifted in making sure all aspects of a dilemma are addressed. I feel extremely comfortable in our discussions, and her input and ability to see the bigger picture make a tremendous impact on how I navigate particular obstacles."

"Wow! Hannah's The Living Room is a gemstone! We sold everything for a chance at a better life in South America, but didn't feel as settled as expected.

Hannah was a blessing, helping calm me down and realize South America was not for me, helping me feel validated in my choices. She was there when I felt so alone - listening to me, didn't judge me - a light in a dark tunnel. Hannah is a phenomenal support. I am so happy she popped into my life!"
